- Regularly update the websites I run (www.kevinowens.org, www.draconika.com, and www.owensinternet.com.)
- Play online games! Maybe get interested in MMORPGs again.
- Do Internet research for school homework projects.
- Set up a connection on my home computer so I could access its files from work or school.
- Spend time online researching and learning new computer technologies.
- E-mail from home.
- Watch Flash cartoons.
Now, of course, most of this could be done using my existing dial-up Internet access. However, a number of factors make extended use of the connection impractical:
- I only get 10 hours each month
- The connection is slow
- There is an annoying ad window, preventing me from playing games like StarCraft
- and, it ties up my telephone line.
On a sunnier note, I finally got through to the ACM at school and got a product ID code to install my free copy of Windows XP Pro. I think I'll do that tonight.
Oh, and tomorrow we will be having our first LAN party at work. I'll be setting up for that tonight.
